Unfortunately I need to sell this engine to finish the V8 55AMG install. Because of the history I would like to see this go to a member. Runs great, no smoke or leaks, last ran at the CAA4 TMS 9/7/13 event then parked & pulled. 181mm Crank Pulley, Need Wings Belt Wrap Pulley Saver, Intake Mods, More. Includes service records and parts receipts. Cleaned, Sealed & ready to ship or P/U DFW area.

Hey Steve! Wife and I will be down that way for Nascar.. guessing your not going to be leading us around on those fun roads around the area..;)

We're planning on kicking around the stockyards Saturday, and hitting that restaurant (don't remember the name) that we did at laps for charity.. Awesome steak on the menu! If you guys are free would love to have you join us!

hmmm wish this was closer and I had already procured a red roadster to drop it into Steve. that is my next project according to my wife .....she wants a red roadster and it has to have a S/C engine for me. I just can't store it until spring when I would get around to it as my current project is almost done. Hope this finds you well and good luck with the sell. How close are you to completing the 55 swap?

PS I hope you get this done before the CAA event here in CO next July.....and if not just show up with your other vehicle and I can loan you my other project (SSB SRT6) if needed.

I will ignore the butterflies and just enjoy the open top cruising when the time comes!

But don't think you couldn't tempt me with a 6 .. LOL.

You are one lucky man! A little torch red N/A roadster with a S/C 6 would be sweet, that Marilyn has good taste… I have to say though that your current project is just over the top awesome! It would be tough to top that one but if anyone could it would be you….


I’m much closer now, thanks to you, I followed your advice and back traced all the harness wiring on both engines and was able to match each function. I made a conversion schematic for you just in case Marilyn wants you to put a 55 AMG in that lil red wagon. I’m Tig welding the exhaust now and have to build a couple of rear brackets for the A/C comp. & P/S pump but darn close to stuffin it in there….

SOLD!... Congrats *D2, shipped & on the way.
3700 mile journey ~ coast to coast…
MikeR’s wicked SRT6 cpe. shipped enclosed from Portland Oregon to DFW (2K miles) and driven less than 200 miles,
eng. removed & stored/sealed for 5 years on eng. stand.,
then crated and shipped to Connecticut (1700 miles)….
Future history_________________, _________________, ______________, (pls. fill in the blanks…lol) Good luck with the install! Keep us up to date….
