1st problem was trusting a stealership.
Good odds there is nothing wrong with the engine.
I have heard to much bs from dealerships.
And especially my wife, they try to get her every time she is in there for bs, but she went there for oil change.

What color is it, interior and exterior?

Read my reply in the other post, you may be giving up instead of getting ripped off. I would advise at least, a second (or third) opinion!

It is black with black/gray interior.. I hear what you are saying Graphite Ghost, but to get another opinion involves more towing, more time and more money that I don't know if I'm willing to invest. At 138K miles and the low blue book I don't know if it is worth more diagnostics...

The stealership is not asking to fix it, they just said it's going to need a new engine and it's not worth it. They made it very clear the HATE crossfires for sure! They quoted $620 for a new fuel pump installed and said a new engine is $7K to $8K if I can find one. I was looking to fix to sell, I've bought a new vehicle and I'm really no mechanic.

I've got the fog light panels and the siren.. it works.Have to see about the cig plug, I have a phone charger in it now. If I don't sell the whole thing by next week, I will put it in storage and start parting it out so I will contact you with a price.

At this point, I am getting a lot of interest for the whole thing at $1000... I don't know if that is a dumb thing to do, but I'm afraid to dump a lot of money into it as the dealer may well be right that the engine is on its way out.

Advice on this is appreciated, forum friends!
