Help

I lost passenger side silver plastic windshield trim on my 03 coupe and almost lost top trim. 2 questions. 1: would JB Weld glue secure the top piece and where can I get a replacement, the price for replacement is stupid expensive, or should I try cutting a piece of plexiglass to match and paint.
Any suggestions?
The car wash is denying liability :(

Re: Help

DO NOT use JB Weld! The clips are metal, the trim is plastic; It is not designed to work on dissimilar materials. The correct adhesive is 3M two sided tape which will allow the contraction and expansion of the two materials yet maintain adhesion. Try eBay for the parts or a junk yard.

Re: Help

Contact Zack Joselyn on facebook, he is about to receive a full set of windshield trim that I assume he will be putting up for sale.

You are lucky you did not lose the top one, the side ones are ten a penny in comparison.
There is a thread here that shows how they are attached properly, you do no need to glue them on if they are put on correctly, a piece of plexi-glass would be more time and trouble making than buying a used one on eBay.
Car wash? Never.
