Default Need A Panic Button

I have a working key fob, except that the red panic button has a hole in the center. If anybody has a useless, broken, ugly, key fob (even if its in pieces) but has a red panic button in it. PM me, let's talk!
Howard

You can get a replacement panic button from the dealer for a ridiculous MSRP price of $21.45 for just the little red button. Here's the part# 5170599AA if you have no luck finding one.

The button non-functional ? or just the cover wore slap out ? There are some latex you can buy just to coat over what's left. Effectively making a rubber boot over the switch....if the switch is still functional. And you are really handy with liquid rubber !! LOL... but no joke. You can coat over the button let it dry. Depending on how well you "paint hand" is...it'll hold up for a good while...

Monsterru ..... Thanks ..... no pic needed ...... if the red panic button is in whole shape, that's all I need.
I don't care about condition of total fob (whole or in pieces)...... What do you need for it? .... PM me..

To gfalcone .... thanks for the suggestion, but I think I'll hold on that ......

Hey,

Sorry for the delay I have searched everywhere and could not find the old remote. I am afraid I may have thrown it out as it was from the car I have returned. Sorry.

I bought a whole used key off of ebay for less than $10.00, so I could salvage the painic button cover from it.

Toolman ..... I've been watching eBay for a couple of months and only see Fobs in the $32 to $179 bracket plus shipping. If I get one for $10 it would be great, but sometimes even the "shipping" is near that. It's not that I can't afford it, but the principle of me ordering a replacement "red panic button" from Chysler for @ $21.00 makes me want to puke. I just figured that there would be someone on this forum that would have one available. I'll keep checking...... Thanx

FYI - I purchased one of the $25 replacement panic buttons and it lasted about 3 years before it popped off. I am hesitant to spend another $25 and may just end up using some rubber cement to reattach it to my key fob.

Let the buyer beware!!!
