Sweeet; I don't get to run again until May 7th and it will be a cool 90-95* by then.

Before your next pass siphon 2 gallons out of the tank and you'll get that magical 11.xx timeslip.

we made it out to milan dragway tonight, the weather was ideal btu rather busy at the track so we spent most of the night sitting in the staging lanes waiting for lots of track oil cleanups. apkano met up with us there tonight (thank you steve for all the help). unfortunetly the na cai we made him was sitting on our workbench as we were using it for the na cai welding jig when we did the group buy and we havent reinstalled it back onto his car yet. i didnt knwo he was goign to meet us up there until we were basically pulling into the track so we didnt get a chance to get some before/afetr runs on his car with the cai, we did get the before's now tho. i dont have his slips but i believe he did a best of mid-low 15's with just a catback on the car, im sure he wil post it up.

so we got to the track, slapped on the slicks and opened up the exhaust cutout and pulled the grill, ready to rock! well, the battery on the laptop died so i wasnt able to record the datalogs on the zeitronix wideband the car takes a few passes before the pcm compensates for the exh cutouts, i would liked to have opened them up a few miles befopre the track but its too damn loud to hear them drone down the highway.

first pass was a 12.12@115 versus a 12.20@117 (stage 3 slicked srt-4)
cool, were off to a great start. i used an old school gtec aswell and it showed a 0-60 in 3.92sec and 1/4 in 12.15sec on that pass
second pass i cut a 1.752 60ft and ran 12.10@115
gtec showed 0-60 in 3.91 and 1/4 of a 12.13
thrid pass was after sitting for an hour waiting some broken POS to get towed off the track, i tried to launch a little harder and blew the tires away and went 12.3x@114
forth run was after another track cleanup and again launched to hard to grip and ran 12.2x@115
last run after waiting another hour for another POS breakdown cleanup we went 12.09@114.xx with a 1.83 60 ft

so, close but no cigar tonight, i think we can get into the 11's with this setup but its going to be barely into the 11's. time for more part designing to get us into the 11's comfortably

I've got the video of your car.......figures, out of all the passes you laid down, I think the worst one is on video. I'll post to youtube tonight when I get home.

That car is an absolute MONSTER! That guy in the tuned SRT4 was looking at you before the race with that "who the hell is this guy" look. Kind of funny, after you beat him it seemed like he was right next to you for the rest of the night! (I bet he's already checked out your website! )

Thanks for not telling everyone that that second pass was where you destroyed me by a half track. At least I redeemed myself on the third run by beating a modded Z06 Vette. (Shhhh......he really didn't let up at 3/4 track! )

Had an absolute blast......haven't done that in over 10 years! I definitely have to get out there again soon. Anytime you need a pit crew Rob....just give me a call! I'm positive 11's are right around the corner.

So what do you think you can do/add to get down to consistent 11's Needswings?

Sorry it took so long.....busy day. That and a headache, must have been too much tire smoke yesterday!

Here's the video of one of needswing's runs last night, can't remember if it was the 12.3 or the 12.2. Either way....the fastest run was the last one, which we managed to not get on video.

Here's a video of me beating the aforementioned Z06 Vette.

Nice stuff Rob, I'm going this weekend and I'm gonna leave the NOS at home and just try to pound out a few runs and see how close I can get on motor only! 1/100 is alot when you get that close, its like these cars just can't get out of the gate fast enough, most cars in the 11's have a 1.5 or 1.6 60' time. But we gotta make it up on the topend some how. Send me them damn intakes and I bet I could get there!

Hey Rob, what mods do you have on your car? Obviously you've got the NeedsWings intake and the exhaust cutouts. What else?

As far as I know, in addition to what you mentioned an ASP 178mm pulley, InMotion ECU tune, special needswings aluminum intake manifolds (in R&D phase). So save those rebate checks and be ready when they come out.

Yep, that magnum is the real deal. That motor had to be a new bigger block with cams and all.

Remind me exactly what setup you were running?

Intake
178 Pulley
Manifolds
Polished Y-pipe
InMotion Custom Tune
Exhaust Cutouts
Slicks

Am I missing anything?

No kidding! That 13.044 @ 108.19 keeps mocking me every time I look up stock Crossfires on DragTimes.com.
