When i was shopping around, and finallly pulled the trigger on the XF, the interior that caught my eye was the Mazda RX8 thought that it was great. But that was all that appealed to me about the car.

Yeah. That rotary is not all that appealing. You either love em or hate em. It makes for interesting reading when you drop in on their forum. They say that motor comes into its own above 5k rpm.

Pretty much every review I've read has commented on the "cheap" outdated interior of the Crossfire. Personally it doesn't bother me, however, considering that the SRT's were in the $50K range, one would think they'd done a little better, but then again, I'm just glad they built it to begin with.

Yeah I agree...

The interior is very dated IMO.

My 2004 GTI had a nicer interior, and that MSRP'd for half of my SRT. The engine definitely makes up for it though.

2 cars that are about the same in a straight line (NA Xfire anyway) could not feel any more different. The rotary is indeed all about high revs while the xfire is all low end grunt. The xfire would feel faster to most because most don't routinely shift up near redline, but 9k rpms is pretty exhilirating too. (I had an RX-8 before the xfire.)
