Default New Personal Best Today

Well, I just got back from Street Wars(drag racing) and am quite happy. The conditions were good and the track prep was awesome. I tried out the 181 pulley for the first time last night with "so so" results and decided to switch back to the 185 pulley for todays mid day runs. The DA was still pretty high at 4456 on my best pass..............

12.106@ 115.17 witha 1.772 60' and a PEAK boost of 17.0lbs and IATs from 122-174*

My AFRs(after cats) on all passes were 11.8-11.6 nearly across the board and at peak boost 12.3-12.4 around 105mph then dropped back(along with my boost) to 11.8 through the end of the passes.

I also backed that pass up with some similar but slightly slower passes

12.133@114.97 with a 1.765 60'
12.142@115.14 with a 1.772 60'

and I had my highest trap on the run I got greedy and launched too high(bogged)
12.352@115.37 with a 1.948 60'

I can't wait to run again in two weeks when I (hopefully)have my high IAT issue under wraps and the DA drops to a "nice" 3000-4000 area.

Mopar, good runs.... too bad you got such bad DA there....... you should be at least down with me with better DA. .. I only have this month to do better before the tracks close for the rainy season.....

Tracks close? Rainy season? There's no good DA to be had here in vegas, you should see how poorly N/A cars perform here. There was a stock (2006ish) Viper SRT-10 running 12.7's all day but unfortunately we never actually lined up against each other.

They aren't really comperable due to the good/bad conditions I raced in last night. The temps dropped down to 68*..........but there was ZERO track prep versus today's 85* temps with LOTS of track prep. With that in mind I made 3 passes with the 181 pulley installed..............

12.566@114.16 2.035 60'
12.595@113.83 2.112 60'
12.582@113.21 2.047 60'

All passes both(Friday night and Saturday afternoon) were using Hoosier 255/50 16 DOT drag radials.

I run 255/50 16 Hoosiers DOT drag radials at the track............but I do drive them on the street as well on occasion(and to/from the track).

I snapped a couple pics........and here's a video of the stock Viper running.........

Nice Job Mopar. Bet you turned alot of heads with that 12.10!!! I love the hoosiers, was bummed mine weather rotted from sitting in my storage room. I ordered a set of mickeys, and borrowed some for this weekend's race. They hooked good but are definitely heavier than the hoosiers. We'll see if they affect my times.

Thanks................I could've sold tickets for the amount of people the car was pulling in once parked. lol

I considered teh M/T's when I was shopping for my new setup but couldn't get past how HEAVY they are compared to the Hoosiers and I was looking to cut as much fat as possible. Hopefully they do you well and get you some nice 1.6x 60's..............that would be the only way I'll switch.

I ordered the MT's from McCormack racing, and usually get my hoosiers from them. They said they haven't been able to get them for months. I have been lucky before and got them right when they came off national backorder. This time I the MT's came off national backorder. I'll be able to tell from my pa2 if they are costing me increments. I was surprised how well the MT's felt on the freeway. They have a stiffer sideway than the hoosiers. If you see a pair of MT's for sale then you'll know I didn't like them. Hard to beat those hoosiers.
