Default Autocross run

Latest video of an autocross run at KilKare raceway. I came in first in this event, beating a Cobalt SS by .5 seconds. Not my smoothest run of the day, but did hit the line well.

It sounds like the NA has better throttle response than the srt, I heard you feather the throttle, some thing the srt does not do well. Nice video, Woody

I usually do a throttle reset the day before each autocross event. I notice the difference.

That was a real nice run you did. Good job!

My SRT is not subtle getting on or off the throttle. It's hard to be precise with the transition. I start pressing the gas and nothing is happening so I press more and then the wheels are spinning. Or trying to accelerate progressively and gently in a long sweeping turn. All is good maintaining speed but the power comes on hard and fast. Maybe my foot needs a reset?

With the Yokohama AD08s I do fairly well against other cars with A6s and V710s. The Crossfire has more power out of the hole than most of the cars in D Stock, but is prone to understeer slightly if you aren't watching your speed in sharp corners. The SOLO events closest to me run with on an oval Racetrack with a figure 8 in the middle. There are lots of off-camber transitions to deal with in addition to the frequent tight turns -- really keeps me on my toes.

I'd really like to see more Crossfires running SOLO. This car really gets attention at the track both from its looks, and performance. Even though this is my first year racing with the Crossfire, I can't count the number of people that came up to me after the event and say: "I didn't think the Crossfire was that fast!"
