Is this the first time you'll be racing your new SLK Steve? Goodluck hope you get good times.

My new SRT didnt do so well last night only managed a 12.6 @ 111 MPH with all the mods under the sun

John.

Mmmm no good Doc! I hooked up my AEM A/F gauge and all the way to around 120mph it was in the 11.6 range so that tells me there is more room for power! guess thats the only positive out of it.

Hopefully Steve does better 2night. I saw your post on Eurocharged Facebook Steve you got nearly 360rwhp which is awsome!

John.

Keep working on it, it has more in it...I will try to get some times on the coupe next wed. nite..weather permitting...Steve is running on street tires tonight, his drag radials, or should say lug bolts are a few mm too long, so he had to take them off...I am still waiting on the LSD before putting the drag radials back on...but, I can roast the street tires and get an idea where I am with the coupe..I did 12.2 on street tires with the roadster, so I would hope to at least be in that range...

It was great meeting up with you tonight Steve, and I'm sure next time things will be much different.

I need to install that damn H/E.

If you want to know what Steve ran, he was in the 12's all night.

well i had a great time at beech bend but to say i ran well would be an exaggeration. i put my goodyear dr.'s and before i went a 100 ft i heard... click click click!! needless to say for some strange reason my lugbolts on this 32 were hitting the e brake!! so off came the dr.'s and on came the 245/40-17 ps2s.
times were awful no traction at all. 1.8 60 ft with 111 mph traps and the best i could manage was a 12.5 it seems the 368 ft/lbs torque was doing me in!
i did manage to beat a c5 vette and a 02 mustang gt so the nite wasn't a total loss!! ill have to cut down my bolts a few mills and try again!

Wow, I couldn't use my stock bolts on my drag radials, so the short ones are working great. What was the weather like last night?

thats the strange thing! the lugbolts were purchased the same time bmorgan got his for the clk rims i found for us. they worked fine on my 02 but on the 03 the click was unmistakable! im going to play a bit today and see how much needs to be machined off. the weather was decent cloudy but not much rain. i had plenty of power but couldn't get it to the ground
