SparkieSRT6's mirror en action!

I taped up the car the day before and it rained most of the way to the track, a 1 hour drive. I stopped coming down the mountain because some of the hood tape was coming loose and flapping in the wind. It turned out I was littering most of the way to the track. When I arrived the track was a lake. :( But then the sun came out and hope for racing arrived. They were drying the track for 3 hours so we didn't get started until 12:30 PM. At least I had time to retape the car.:p Anyway, because of the rain attendance was rather poor. I parked next to an 2008 EVO who was drag racer but a first timer on a road course. I tried to help without scaring the piss out of him. Things like, pay attention to what your brake pedal is telling you. You don't have to speed shift. Go easy at first and watch the lines of those that pass you. Normal stuff. I asked his HP, 420 to the wheels. Dang! Real nice guy, funeral home consultant I think. He'll learn.

My camera has a timer but I wanted to know what I was really doing on this track. Guess what, it didn't register for the first 2 heats. For the third they got it working correctly. I ran 108.751 which is fast for street tires. It equates to an average speed of 73.29 mph. You can see some water on the track so I held back in those areas. The drivers mirror is SparkieSRT6's mirror that he donated and I want Sparkie to see his mirror in action and now Aero Blue.
