I'm racing today too. Don't be nervous, it's fun!

Traction control should be off. Although I've had worse, it is a far cry from launch control and will only slow you down.

Air the rear tires down to 24-28 psi. Don't worry about the front tires or removing weight just yet. When/if you have your runs perfected and want that last hundredth is the time for that stuff.

With street tires drive around the water box. When directed by the track workers do a short burnout just to scrub off debris from the tires.

Approach the beams slowly. It is polite to just pre-stage (1st beam) until the other cars pre-stages, then pull into the 2nd beam. Once your staged, get ready quick! Hold the brake and bring RPMs up to ~1400 (automatic). On the 3rd yellow, release the brakes and mash the gas!

FYI: your reaction time (RT) is not part of your elapsed time (ET). Adding them together is the amount of time from the light turning green until your crossing the finish line. Some tracks still use the older system of a 0.500 RT is actually 0.000.
