How about getting a Southern California Hook-Up going? I'd like to propose the following and am open to suggestions. This is the 1st time I am doing this so if there is a better way then just let me know.

Date: Saturday April 8th.
Destination: Santa Ynez

Those that are traveling from the South can Hook-Up somewhere on PCH (maybe the park across from Pepperdine) and take Malibu Canyon to the 101. I then propose that a 2nd Hook-Up take place at the Westin in Westlake Village. From there the group can travel to the Holiday Inn in Ventura to pick up the Ventura County Crowd. Next pick up those further North at the base of 154 (San Marcos Pass) before climbing up to Santa Ynez.

Once in Santa Ynez we can stop at some Wineries, go to the casino, get some lunch, stop in Solvang, etc.

Any takers on this? If so we can work out the timing of the stops or pick alternate stops as needed.

I'd be happy to do some more research on this if we have some interested folks.

so cal... sounds good if you were in NY!!! but who knows... this week our daughter just moved to Cali she is in laguna beach and the wife and i will be making a CROSS-COUNTRY with the xfire... so i guess its the timing.

BTW... NITROGEN in tires??? enlighten me on this please... wow! nitro?

Nitrogen is used to replace air and if supposed to handle heat better, leak slower, and be less caustic to your wheels than air. I think it is a gimmick but if you google it you will find a lot of reading on the subject.

I agree with Dan and just give us a shout if you are in the area and we can do an impromptu Hook-Up and show you some of the local sites.

i would have been at the auto show hookup if it wasn't at 8 in the morning. lets shoot for 12ish... i might bring out both crossfires so it would be 9. i'll have my girlfriend drive the other, but i'm not sure, gas is pretty darn pricey.

 

I would love to go...Just need to see if I can get off of work.
