Yesterday, after about 6 weeks of cold weather (can you believe 12 degrees in Atlanta) with no top down activity, I wanted to check the top, as it is supposed to be warm. The conv top made noises like it is low on hyd fluid. It completely quit any action about halfway down. I tried to bleed the pressure, but didn't work. About half hour later, pressure was down and I raised it. Then, since I don't have the latch tool, I tried power operation again. All is well. My question is where is the hydraulic reservoir, how do I check it and what fluid if needed? Thanks, and where is the best place to get the hand latch tool?
It is in the rear on the drivers side in the well behind the wheel.
I has a transparent reservoir with marks on it.
You fill it with Pentosin CHF hydraulic fluid ( same as power steering ).
There is a brass nut in the side, use a turkey baster syringe with some plastic tubing.
