Based on the number of responses/votes (finally), the CTC GTG/Meeting will be at the Auto Museum in Rosanky. To allow enough time to meet, eat / socialize, show our cars and have fun with our friends, we meet in Kyle (as Paul proposed) at 9:00 a.m. and depart at 9:30 a.m. Take 21 from Kyle to Bastrop and 304 to Rosanky. Non CTC members are welcome to join us. Are we bringing our own groceries or are we going to a restaurant (it's cooler inside, only where)? Daniel, where are you? Kevin (been there before??) and Fred (concert?), sorry you can't make it. This wil be our biggest turnout yet!!!!

Paul, you be the WagonMeister, pick the time and place to meet greet and eat. Looks like maybe a dozen cars and 20+ folks. I think indoors will be more comfortable, and we can have 3 or 4 hours to brunch and bull. A mid-afternoon bite for those that want to supplement their morning fare can be done anywhere or anytime, suggest non refrigerated items. Curt, the manager at the museum told me their is a small place "down the road" with hamburgers etc, but not too much room.
I'm sure whatever you pick will be fine. I will probably pick up some chicken on the way, hope it's not any I hit. If we start brunch +/- 10AM, should give us a good 3-4 hours of social discourse between bites. Bill good job on the list. I haven't received a reply from Jimmy or Randy.

Ok, here is what I am proposing..
We meet up at the HEB in Kyle (exit 215) around 9:00am and leave by 10:00. We take 150 to 21 and go up 21 to 71 and Bastrop, in Bastrop we will go through town to the 95/21 exit (just after the river) and make the jog over to 21 and loop 150 and arrive at The Roadhouse about 11:00. I have been there and talked to the management and set up a time of 11:30 but we can move it to 11:00 if we want. They have a brisk after church business so we may need to be out by 12:30ish. (This is a nice photo spot and we could if everyone wants leave Kyle in time to hit here a little after 10:00am and hang out in the parking lot and visit.) We will then go back through town on 71 and exit 304 and go south to the museum where we can continue our visit.

Guys & Gals I am sorry, I know yall wanted to visit a lot but I went to Bastrop and have talked with several restaurants and Sunday's from about 12:00 to 2:30 is a very busy time and hanging out very long just wont work but we can hang out early while it is cooler in the Roadhouse parking lot.
What do yall think?

 

Paul, sounds good to me. Curt at the museum told me we were welcome to use the conference room, only thing as I mentioned is that the admission will revert to the standard $5 as opposed to $4. Let me know the time we want to use it and I will call him to make sure it's available. I have reserved rooms at Randolph for the weekend so I won't have to kill any chickens Sunday AM. It sounds good to me also! The conference room at the museum sounds good for more socializing/meeting so we don't have to sit out in the heat.

It is a go with me. If we leave the HEB at 9:30, we can get to the restaurant early, giving us time to socialize there and we can do more socializing/meeting at the museum after the tour and guest speaker. John, do we have to leave the museum before it is closed or can we stay a while longer? We will be the Roadhouse's brisk business that Sunday unless they don't want it.

 

Just got off the phone with Kurt at the museum. The conference room is ours. He will be there early to let us in if we come before 13:30. There will be no problem with us staying a while past closing (17:00). There are rest rooms and water, but no vending machines. There is a small fast food and store at the intersection of 535/304, so bring your own what ever.
