I found new production numbers and compiled an Excel Data Sheet based on the new numbers and compared them to what I had collected previously.
The breakdown by Model Year, Coupe and Roadster were within a few units of one another and were accounted to the pre-production cars not being counted. Difference of 33 cars out of 76,047.
However found a big surprise on the SRT numbers:
The new total is 4073 including Left and Right Hand Drive Cars (2572 Coupe and 1501 Roadster)
My previous SRT numbers were 2016 Coupe and 928 Roadsters for a total of 2944.

The floor is open for discussion:rolleyes:

I find the "new" SRT numbers to be questioable, due to the length of time it has taken to compile the current database, which began in 2006. It took 7 years to obtain 2085 SRT6's for model year 2005.
If these numbers are true, I'm sure we would have found the same percentage we have at this time, 70.8%. I believe the old numbers are correct with 2016 Coupes and 928 Roadsters.
Since RS Speed fell off the edge of the world, we will not receive any "inside" information on the database.

Thanks for the suggestion, the list is now also in the first post.

Interesting to note that the information provided in the listing is based on identifying characters given in the 17 digits of the VIN, which would give the resulting data some credibility. You would have to have a complete 17 digits VIN database to come up with this breakdown.
- Model Year: 2004-05-06-07-08
- Body Style: Coupe-Roadster
- Series: SRT, Limited and Base Models. The Special Edition SE Roadster carry the same model series VIN digit (5) as the base.
- Vehicle Line: Left Hand Drive - Right Hand Drive.
As previously stated, based on prior information, this breakdown is spot on with the exception of the total number of SRT.

Perhaps somebody at Chrysler is finally coming around with some final worldwide numbers.

As far as history is concerned, I don't think that it is already set in stone based on the lack of official numbers from Daimler, Chrysler or Karmann. I'm keeping an open mind on the subject.

You have to remember that the previous lower SRT numbers were provided at a time when Chrysler still had a lot of unsold units, low balling or not including cars destined for non US market may have been part of the marketing plan.......

Post from Chrysler Crossfire Owners page on Facebook 11/05/2013

"Thanks to a CICCI member who works for Chrysler, we now have better numbers for total SRT-6 production. 4029 total SRT-6s were produced for 2005 and 2006. Of that number, 2529 coupes and 1500 roadsters were made"

The only count I have ever seen trying to track down SRT6's was from the information referencing how many colors were produced, not models per se. That is where the original numbers came from I believe. So, not sure of that info either...but I would like see the official list...as I have seen VIN's that don't seem consecutive. Were SRT's built on a separate line, or does anyone know...

Where have you been?:p
Same line and non consecutive numbers.

One of your cars 42796 and mine 42790 are side by side on the SRT list but separated by some NA's VIN wise.

Well, Dave, I remember that being stated way back when. I figured with all this new supposed info, we would know for sure...why the gap. It was always concluded they were built side by side so to speak. Now we have seemed to find twice as many as we once thought... Anyway, I would to read the info they have so hopefully they will share it...as if this were the case where has it been hidden all this time...

Since we have this "Chrysler Employee" as a member of CICCI and he/she claims a larger number than the original 2016 Coupes and 928 Roadster for 2005. That employee needs to step up with the total documented list of the 2529 Coupes and 1500 Roadsters for 2005 and 2006 with the cutoff for each year, providing the details on color and coupe/roadster.

The mole should also provide the manufacturing date and what country the SRT6's were delivered to after the manufacturing process.

I'll believe it when I see it!
