We need Crossfires!

The Cowtown Mopar club, Dallas Mopar club, and the DFW LX club are throwing a bash at the Texas Motorplex. It's a show, race, swap meet, and a really cool gathering.
I'll never forget the heads I turned while running my SRT-6 at the Texas Motorplex during the Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge. Now, I need to get some of you guys to come out and show the world what you've got.
Best of all, there's money to be won racing!


We're going to have Nostalgia Super Stock drag racers hanging it out on the track along with just about any other kind of Chrysler powered cars you can think of.
We've booked a top alcohol funny car, top alcohol dragster, exhibition cars, old school slingshot dragsters, and much more.

Admission is $10 with kids 12 and under free. Show entry is $25 and race entry varies by class.



Some of you long term members may remember me and my little SRT-6. Now, I'm the president-elect of the Cowtown Mopars club and desparately want to get some Crossfires involved in the club. We're not just about the muscle cars. We go for anything Chrysler powered from 2.2 turbo K cars to Benz derived stuff.

Come on out and joint the fun!

DFWXfires is still working out the details on what time to go. Do you have any suggestions for the best time?

 

It is not looking good for Saturday. Ennis is very particular about the weather and they are notorious for not posting their closure on their website. I drove an hour each way a couple Saturday’s ago only to be turned away at the gate due to high winds.

If it is raining anywhere in the Metroplex, I will not be going out there. Driving that far on Drag Radials on wet roads is not my idea of a good time.

 

Mopars at the Motorplex Racing & Car show HAS BEEN CHANGED TO SUNDAY

Due to the excellent forecast on Sunday, the MOPARS at the Motorplex scheduled for Saturday April 18 will be run on Sunday April 19.
Gates will open on Sunday April 19 at 8:00am. Spectator admission is $10.00 for adults and Children 12 & Under are Free. Time Trials will begin at 9:00am. The(re) will also be a car show, swap meet and a car corral going on throughout the day.

 

Did anyone attend, how was it?

 

I did not go, and I have not heard if anyone else went.
