Thank God the FBI was wise to this guy.
This is about 4 blocks from the building I work in downtown.

I first learned of it on the national evening news. The local news gave a great breakdown of the story. It almost sounded like something out of the show 24. This was one of those good guy wins that we hear about...most we don't. All the terrorist need is one win.

This could have been a much different evening for a lot of people if the cell phone would have really made the bomb go off.

The good guys were really letting this 19 year old moron dig his grave.
I loved this part of the story the best......
The agent offered Smadi earplugs, but he declined, indicating he wanted to hear the blast, according to the affidavit said.
The affidavit said Smadi then dialed the cell phone, believing it would detonate the bomb.
The phone number Smadi dialed rang to the phone of law enforcement officials, and he was arrested by the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force and other assisting law enforcement officers.
