Bought a xfire dealer demo with 3,600 mi on it back on 11/28/04. Three days later I returned it cause the BAS light on the dash came on, the dealer repaired the problem the
same day I took it in. About a week to ten days later the check engine light came on, so I take it back to Allen Samuels on I-35 north, they kept it 4 days and repaired the problem and I go to get it and to pick up the extra key I ordered when I bought the vehicle cause I'm always misplacing my keys. I'm inside the parts/service dept. telling Mr. goober smooch service manager wearing his clip-on tie that I'm here to pick up my wheels and I'd like to pick up the extra key I ordered so he directs me over to the parts dept.
The parts personal hand me the key I paid $175.00 dollars for and Mr. goober smooch service manager walks over to me and says you need to let us program that new key along with your other 2 keys and the vehicle all at the same time, it'll be $ 90.00 + tax and take about 10 minutes. I said to him you want to charge me $ 90.00 + tax more to program this f-ing key when I asked how much it was 20 days ago you told me $175.00 ? I told him he was out of his f-ing mind and I started walking for the door. Mr. goober smooch service manager is walking side by side me with his index finger pointing in my face telling me; "we don't talk that way to our customers and we don't appreciate our customers talking that way to us". You need to leave the premises immediately. I'm already halfway out the door
I tell him he better put his finger back in his pocket before I whip his as* and said, a few more choice words to him and he repeats everything I tell him back to me. So I invited him to step out into the street for a good ole' country boy as* whipping and he says he is gonna call the police. I told Mr. goober smooch service manager while he was calling the police he better call an ambulance too cause after I finished whipping his as* he was going to need one! This man starts yelling and screaming to his grunts to bring him a telephone...
About that time the porter pulls my xfire around to the front of the service dept. and says here is your car Sir. I thanked the porter and go to start loading it on my tiltbed car trailer.
Mr. goober smooch service manager is standing on the curb yelling to me he called the police and for me to stick around, cause they'll be here in just a few minutes. I calmly said, "I'll be here long enough to put 4 nylon straps on here and strap my vehicle down" then I'm headed to the house as*hole but if you'll step out in the street, I'll show you what you made of coward. Mr. goober smooch wouldn't step off the curb so I secured the xfire to the trailer and hopped in my 4 door 2003 Dodge 3500 4x4 and waved my middle finger to Mr. goober smooch service manager with his clip on tie as I drove away.

 

I would suggest an anger management class but, I don't think it would be fare to the rest of the class.

You quoted me $800.00 dollars + shipping from Ventura, Ca. for 4-used stock wheels & $700.00 + ship. for 4 bast*rdized stock re-chromed wheels ? I just bought 4 used stock wheels with the 4 pressure sensors, 2-19" and 2-18" for $62.50 ea. + freight. Thanks for quoting me a price there ole' buddy, hope you find that sucker your hunting for.

To your key problem try that:

STANDARD PROCEDURE - TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING
The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Transmitter(s) can be programmed by the customer without special tools.
PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE
Transmitter programming by the customer is done by performing the following steps:
1. Press either the lock or unlock button momentarily twice.
2. Turn the key in the ignition switch to the ON/RUN position within 30 seconds.

Hope that help you to get your new key to work without the a-hole dealer and much money extra.

yes there are alot of xfire's in the metroplex. mainly sitting on dealers lots collecting dust but...Shell Petroluem Co. is giving away, some kind of promotional stunt.

Some dealerships are really a pain in the as*! Either they don't know how to fix your Crossfire or they don't know how to sell it!

 

Anger Management Class pisses me off...

 

Was that Bob Goobersmooch or was it his cousin Ronnie Earl Goobersmooch? Ronnie Earl can be a real butt sometimes, especially when he's been drinkin'.

I'm picking mine up at Dallas Dodge. And yes, there are several Crossfires lounging around the metroplex lots.

 

I got a key from a Ebay source. It is not a blank key but the unit looks brand new. Can I get a new flat cut and then just install it in the transmitter? Can I program the transmitter to lock and unlock the doors without have a new key cut?

Do you know of any dis-assembly manual for the key/transmitter?
