I'm wondering what the problem turned out to be on the Sanford car and what the fix was just in case I ever encounter that issue. Chuck, can you help us out, bro? Peace.

I am that "Sanford Car" - no fix as of yet... scheduled for a dealer visit in a week or so. Hurley Chrysler in Deland has a factory certified Crossfire tech on their staff - thinks he knows what the issue is. I'll update you guys when "the fix" is successful. Chuk has not got back with me yet. Might be good on his own ride - but has no idea what the "real fix" is for this intermittent supercharger issue. Replacing the IC pump resulted in "no fix". Just telling it like it is, here.

Did you get a chance to check the fuse to the electric pump to make sure it is being energized? From what I have read, the IC pump is the most common reason for intermittent supercharger failure. All of the "Stealerships" have their Crossfire trained "expert". Most are parts changers I have determined. If you replaced the IC pump, it is possible that you got a faulty one, new in the box. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Also, I spoke with a Crossfire tech that said that when you change out the IC pump, you must purge all of the air out of the system or it may fail.

Can a general auto repair place service the brakes on a 2005 Crossfire Coupe?

Yes, any shop of good repute can "service" your brakes, if all you need is rotors or pads (replacement or service). Steer clear of the corporate entities like tire kingdom, discount tire, big-T, etc. Make sure the technician is properly qualified, and if the "shills" behind the counter/desk will not allow you a direct relationship with the actual individual doing the work, go someplace else.

Well one qualification is easy: do they have a scan tool that can completely diagnose (not just the OBD-II part) an '01-'03 Mercedes SLK320. Besides the Mercedes Star system there are only a few that can communicate with the SRS (airbage) module.

I wind up doing just about everything myself simply because I do not trust anyone else.

Welcome to Florida, Michael Harding would be the one to ask. From what I heard the Chrysler Dealer in Sarasota is good, reliable and honest. Go on Facebook and join the Florida West Coast Crossfire Group and maybe someone else has a recommendation.

Hey Florida forum members - I’m in the Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral area for a class reunion this weekend, then hanging around for a couple weeks.
If anyone local is interested in getting together for a coffee, beer, lunch etc., shoot me a PM.

I think I will join the Sports car club of America I haven't gone to a track since 2015 or so. But maybe I can get back into it. I haven't seen any track events under $800 yet in the Palm Beach area.

I saw their calendar the SCCA has a track day on the 8th. I will try and go. I paid $95 for the year. Now I will be able to get the member price. It should be $120 for two sessions of $20 min.
