Lol, I do not see anyone bashing crossfires. I do see a few people being honest and stating their opinion on that ugly ebay grille. I think it looks cheap and out of place on the car, it is great others like it but wow i sure do not.

I like OEM better personally, the grille doesn't flow well with anything on the Crossfire.

On the other hand, I looked in your gallery and this grille looks amazing:

^^^That looks "amazing?" See to me that looks like it belongs on a Sentra or something. Like everyone said to each his own. Here is the grill and I added a metal spine because I didn't like the center spine of the car not having continuance.

I like the stock grille if you check the grille is made to trap and force air once it goes past the grille it has a hard time comming back foward so it is traped and forced to go through the HE and rad. a few years ago i was told by an engineer that all cars with a intercooler turbo and supercharger will have a grille that traps air and sends it to the cooler . so i made mine black. jim

I think this is the best way to go for me: just paint the stock black. It looks great... clean, simple, and attractive. I am thinking of debadging my entire car of everything. Everyone keeps asking what kind of car it is (i guess not recognizing the chrysler emblem)... so if I debadge it completely... I wonder what people will think

Mine is painted black too, I wonder how hard it would be to get the huge chrysler wings emblem off to paint black?

Would tint actually stay on the outside of the car?

For those who think the APS grille chrome surround is too much, I did a temporary blackout of the surround. I am working with my overlay guy to offer the surround in matching body colors. Here is what it looks like in black

What do you all think? If you like it and want it to color match the car, I should have pricing by next week.

This looks too much like what I "grill" my hamburgers on:

This is better but needs gloss black paint:

IMHO

Gloss black is a definite possibility....in fact if we color match the car, they will all be high gloss. I did the matte finish because I could get it done quick. I would like to know how many want color match, matte black or just plain polished.

thanks all

I saw one in person at the Dragon and thought it looked much better than the pictures. I showed it to my daughter who is an artist and she said it was a departure from the original design theme. When I asked how so, she said the design was based on 3's. 3 hood strakes 3 members in the side vents and 3 parts to the grille. I never noticed but that may be why so many favor the original.

Good point!
I think so many are looking for a different grill is due to Chrysler repeating the same grill on so many other lines of their cars.

That is exactly correct. I am not bashing the original and really like the ones people painted black on a black Crossfire. I bought mine due to wanting something different. If mine was all black, it may look good as well. It would be interesting to see one like that.

Anybody knows what he used for the spine of the aftermarket grill in his pictures? I bought the same grill in black.
