Consistent Beeping/Whistling Sound from interior Dash While Driving
Consistent Beeping/Whistling Sound from interior Dash While Driving
Hi, I'm a new owner to a 2004 Crossfire and a couple days ago I noticed a beeping noise while driving. A bit of investigation turns out it seems as though it is coming from the dash; the sound goes off in the interior while i"m driving and no check engine lights or anything else are on. Has anyone experienced this problem?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

How long does it take for the beeping to start after you start the car?
What area of the dash does it seem to come from (driver - middle - passenger)?
My first suspicion would be the FSS sounding off letting you know the car needs to be serviced.

I've had the same issue and It ain't the seat belt not connected warning. In my car sound like its coming from the passenger side behind the dash. If it is the FSS sounding off how do you reset it so the recognizes the change.
Re: Consistent Beeping/Whistling Sound from interior Dash While Driving
1) Move the ignition switch to the “RUN” position
2) Within 4 seconds of moving the ignition switch into the
“RUN” position, press the reset button for the trip odometer
twice within one second The display for the FSS service
request is activated for 10 seconds
3) During the 10 seconds the FSS service request is displayed,
move the ignition switch to the “OFF” position
The FSS service request will continue to be displayed
4) Press the reset button for the trip odometer and
hold
5) Move the ignition switch to the “RUN” position
6) Continue to press and hold the reset button for the trip
odometer (about 10 seconds) until the audible signal
sounds and the new start distance appears in the display
The tool symbol should disappear at this time
This can be a bit tricky and might need to be tried a couple of times but if you do exactly what is said here it will work

Just got the whistle in the car. It is definitely related to the ac/ heater controls or ducting. I will begin troubleshooting tomorrow. I did discover that if you turn the fan **** to the first indent (pointing at a dot) the sound goes away. I will definitely keep the forum updated on my findings

There is a vacuum valve behind or close to the glove box that can make noise if it is failing.

This valve did make a noise as I recall when something was amiss.

Someone stated that they fixed theirs by replacing the Heater/AC controlunit in the Center of the dash. These days this unit is repairable if the electrical contacts on it are Improved by bonding the two sections of the unit together permanently.CLICK

Re: Consistent Beeping/Whistling Sound from interior Dash While Driving
I and several mechanics have been going nuts trying to find the source of the constant beeping that my 2006 roadster has had since I bought it. We know it only beeps when moving forward at about 4 miles per hour. At first thought it was telling us the convertible top was not secured and tightly fastened. But when we were able to get that taken care of it still beeps. I have tried the seat belt thread about the key on off etc.but still has the beeping. Does the trunk lid have a beeping warning? The trunk cover firmly fastens but it is obviously a replacement lock and does not operate from the keyfaub. And we have never been able to locate the indicator noise maker.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you.

Try setting the auto door lock feature to off.
from owners manual :
To activate this feature, turn the key to the ON/RUN
position and hold the upper portion of the switch for a
minimum of five seconds. To deactivate, turn the key to
the ON/RUN position and hold the lower portion of the
switch for a minimum of five seconds.

Re: Consistent Beeping/Whistling Sound from interior Dash While Driving
I do not find the description definitive enough, beeping, whistling, constant, consistent but only at 4mph.
A whistle is different from a beep in my mind.
There is a white valve near the glove box that makes a noise when it is faulty or the circuit it is in is faulty,
