Default CEL-evap leak

I just had the fuel pump, filter and had Rob's adjustable regulator installed. Is there anything to do with the evap system in this area and if so what could the tech have accidently done. I was doing datalogs so I was checking and clearing codes and never realized I had the CEL going on until the low fuel light was flashing madly today with nearly a full tank of gas. Well, should I have the shop check anything out as I can't get under there, no longer as I am now old and out of condition

On the Crossfire, the evap charcoal canister is under the same plastic cover as the pump/filter.
I don't know if the SLK32 AMG is the same, but probably so.
