Default Oil change with oil extractor

Hi everyone,

Today I tried for the first time to do an oil change with an oil extractor. For any of you who does their oil change with an extractor, do you push the probe until it doesn't want to go further deeper or you try to curve it at the end so it can reach other parts of the oil pan?

I am worried that

A. I was low on oil or I can't get most of it out
or
B. That I might put too much oil if there's still a lot of it in there

Thank you

Alex

No worries. Insert the extraction tube until it stops. Don’t try to force it any further. Measure how much oil you extract and replace that amount. Run the engine a few minutes, check the dipstick, adjust level if required and you’re done.

I think I'm fine. I checked the oil with the instrument panel and it said o.k.

I will double check the dipstick.
