Water pump going bad?

For anyone that has flushed and replaced the coolant......the manual says it holds 11.8 quarts. I'm probably not going to be able to empty the coolant from the block but I don't know how much that would hold. Would I need to buy 3 gallon (12 quarts)....or is 2 gallon (8 quarts) enough?
I'm assuming I will buy the Zerex G-05 50/50 premixed. Is there any reason to get the concentrate instead of the 50/50 premix? I'm in Indiana (if that matters).

The concentrate Zerex G05 gallon + 1 gallon of distilled water costs almost the same as the one gallon 50/50 and you have twice as much.

On Amazon, 1 gallon of concentrate is $16.99 and 2 gallons of premix is $22.26. I am sure that 1 gallon of distilled water can be had for a lot less than $5.27. Remember to dispose of the old fluid properly as this stuff is not eco friendly, and painfully kills animals who are drawn to the taste of it.

I think that I purchased 2 gallons of each when I did my system.
There is a How To on the method to do the job by James1549 (CLICK HERE), I never bothered to change the thermostat but on a higher mleage car it might be worthwhile though.

The site I looked at had only a $2 difference. I can buy distilled water here for $1 per gallon.
So, you get the extra gallon for $3.

I want to thank you guys for your advise and input. I have the parts ordered and notes taken. Not sure if I will do this soon or wait until springtime (warmer weather) to do it but I feel confident about doing this myself. Actually kind of looking forward to doing it. Should be a satisfying experience to complete the work and know that the car is better and saved some $$ as well.

My water pump just took a ****, and it appears the front crank seal was compromised in the process. Does that seem normal?

Ok... Maybe not normal but Is it possible? Maybe when the pump finally gave out it put a lot of stress on the belt or something? Haven't had a chance to dig into it yet, but the water pump pulley is crazy wobbly and there is a good amount of oil that started leaking at the same time and same area of the engine
