Default OBDll port incorrect

On your Service Manual Diagnostics page 8E-2 shows the pins of the DLC numbering from the left to right as 8 thru 1 and the bottom as 16 thru 9. Actually they are the complete backwards. I went to th 2005 Service Manual and saw the correct Pin locations. If you look at the DLC itself you will see that it is numbered the way it shows on the 2005 Print not the 2004 print. It starts out from left to right numbering the locations 1 thru 8 on top and 9 thru 16 on the bottom.I had tried to find out why the #16 didn't have 12v on it and actually the correct location was on the other side of the DLC. Bottom right wasn't th pin # 9 it was really pin 16. I have had a time trying to repair problems with my car.....doesn't help if the Schematic is incorrect.

Hold on to your socks, cause you are JUST getting started with the issues with the wiring diagrams.

It's a freaking mess. I've been fighting this since 2009, the diagrams are incomplete and not totally accurate. But you already know that.

Are you one of the Arduino or Raspberry Pi people ? I just use a dongle designed for it.

Yes, they have put down the numbering for the dongle pin layout, you'll just have to read the numbers from the socket on the car or reverse the dongle number layout.
