Default 48 pin pug

I want to check the pins in this pl

ug for corrosion but cannot figure out how to release the plug cover to get at the plug. I dont want to break anything by forcing. Can anyone give me an idiots guide on how to do it please.

Yours.ooks a bit different from my current car, I think it looks like my old one. That bar halfway down the socket is the lever I think, try pulling it out.
