Thanks in advance.

I have an automatic. I found some explanations on how to change the **** and it looks like the bottom piece unscrews and the **** pulls straight off. I assume this is the same for stick or automatic.
I have a wood one on my SRT. The automatics fit and change pretty easily. Don't know about 6 speed.
The problem is not with the new one, it's with the old one. Some of the SRT shifts are constatntly loose so the owners put a tiny dab of super glue them. Then they trade the car. Guess what, when you try to get the SRT shifter off it is bad news. I destroyed the screw cap part on my old shifter. Not a real problem since I love the wood Mercedes shifter.

The link says...
Fits 2003-2006 Dodge & Freightliner Sprinter.
This leads me to think that it's a light/medium duty truck - I'm sure if you go to Freightliner's website (who are now Daimler Truck North America) you will be able to see a pic of a Freightliner Sprinter.
Which would lead me to think the shaft it attaches to would be a larger diameter - the average truck driver is probably larger than your average Crossfire driver, and probably less 'gentle'.
