It's cooler in here...

Tranny cooler that is. I converted a SL55 AMG oil cooler to be my new tranny cooler, fabbed up some mounts and cleaned up all the clutter behind the grille. I shaved down the center support and relocated the horns to create the most unobstructed airflow possible to the cooler and a/c condensor. Here's a couple pics(don't have the lines hooked up yet because the tranny is still on the ground)...............

Great job Mopar. I was trying to mount my LET HE in that position but it is too wide and wouldnt fit. I opened my front up just the same. Also cut the deflectors off the grill to let the air flow straight in.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Good thing putting a trans cooler on the car. Every automatic I buy I install a trans cooler.
For some reason I have yet to do it for the SRT.
HEAT kills trannys. You can never be too cool!

Yep, I cut all the "up fins" off the grille before I painted it body color.

Very clean setup...parts bin engineering at its finest.

Looking forward to seeing what becomes of your 722.6

That depends on ones mechnical/fab skills. It took me a decent amount of time to locate the "correct" fittings and then I had to modify and reduce them down from a 5/8'' line to a 3/8'' line to match the tranny lines.

Did you wright down all the part numbers and take pics of the install so everyone else could do it?? You know we like great ideas that keep things cool on this car.

I didn't bother because it would be too costly to go out and buy this setup. The cooler alone is over $300 at the stealership............I got mine for free.
