Default cigarette lighter not working anymore... fuses appear to be ok?

Not sure exactly where to look for the exact fuse, but all the ones I saw (both under the hood, and on the side of the dash) appear to be ok.

It had been working fine until a few weeks ago, my brother used to plug in a electric air pump to pump up a huge mattress when we were camping.. and hasn't worked since.

Is it common for them to just sort of, "burn out" and the entire lighter needs to be replaced? Or is there something more specific I can check?

Mine stopped working and the stealership replaced both the element AND the socket assembly. I was told that's the way it's ordered.

Does the glove comartment light work? If it's not then it's the fuse besause the lighter and glove box light run on the same fuse. FYI it's fuse #31 15 amp blue.

This is so weird...mine stopped working too. The glove box light still lights, though. I'll have to mention it to the service manager when I go in for my first oil change. I'm assuming everything is covered under warranty. Base '07 coupe bought new 8 months ago with full warranty and Lifetime powertrain warranty.

You can check if it is the socket itself or the heating unit not working, plug in a device like the pump, old seat heater etc and if it works its the heating unit thats wrong, simple.
You could try to use a voltmeter but do not short out a probe, if you see sparks you know the socket WAS working.

Same fuse for glove box light
15 amp, cavity 31, under hood drivers side.
One would think the fuse would go before anything else,
But electricity can be FM
