Is the ECU the same as the SLK's ECU???

Does anyone know if the ECU in the Crossfire is the same as the Bosch ECU in the SLK?

I have setup an appointment with a local performance shop to look at mine and see if it can take the same chip as the SLK. My appointment isn't until next week and I don't want to get my hope up too high.

He said if it is the same as the SLK he can give me about 35 more horsepower and about 40 more pounds of torque for $400.00. :)

WMichaels, ask them if they have cracked the ECU files and if they are interested in talking about it if so.

I really want to put together an ECU tuner with a slave ROM chip, but haven't been able to find anyone that has cracked the ECU hexdec code to figure out the addresses where all the spark and fuel tables are located.

Let us know how it goes.

I will be back in country in 2 weeks. I will be making an appointment to take the car in then.

I'll keep you posted.
