Xfire sometimes won't start

Recently my xfire has developed a problem of not starting (won't turnover at all, lights radio etc all work). This has occurred so far when car has been sitting in garage for couple days. I leave it alone for couple more days and try again and presto it starts fine, and will continue to start 20 to 30 times before it happens again. It has done this with both old battery & new battery (same cca as oem). Any help with diagnosis would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for responding to my question. I just checked out the "Mystery no start thread" and I will now take a look at my car's circuit board. If the solder joints are bad will this keep the car starter from turning over at all (like my car) or do the car's with this problem crank but don't fire? Thanks again for your help.

Re: Xfire sometimes won't start

No Crank - RCM
Crank no Fire - crank position sensor

Thanks for your reply and your help. I'm glad I found this Crossfire forum. I had asked at my local Chrysler authorized Crossfire dealer about my car's problem and they didn't know what could be causing this because they said they have only worked on 1 Crossfire. I could just see the repair $$$ flowing out of my wallet. Thanks again.

Re: Xfire sometimes won't start

I am having the same problem as of 3 weeks ago. I thought it was the battery. Took it and had it tested and it read 600CCA of 700 so had it replaced. 2 weeks later it did the same thing. Just happened again tonight. My promblem is it will crank, with no fire... unless left alone for some random amount of time. Awesome.

****Note****
Had it jumped after the first no fire, and must have been coinsidence that it started because jumping tonight helped none, and besides the battery is new, alternator tested fine.

Car started hopefully this time not due to coinsidence. Awesome. I can has love for you? Without my DSLR eyes, it looked as though I was having this exact problem @ 50000mi. Took 10 minutes, even completed the me so horny only to cause neighbors to turn porch lights on looking for some ruckus. Thanks Tighed I'll keep you guys posted on results in the week to come.

Hummm... same issue again. Did seem weird yet again that :

No Crank - RCM
Crank no Fire - crank position sensor

having bee said and the RCM trick fixed it, but I hadn't had the problem since the last post. Any other alternatives you guys' have come across other than the CPS needing, I assume, replacing or adjustment?

Re: Xfire sometimes won't start

btw the "duralast" at autozone for $54 is a BOSCH like the others, but difference compared to say Oreillys for $89 is the 2yr vs lifetime warranty... just a heads up. I replaced mine tonight, it took about 10 minutes tops. Another heads up, have star sockets handy or a ... 1/4" driver - 1/4" deepwell along with a 6" extension. A small rachet helps in the tights space as well. Otherwise had no problem. I used an eyeglass screwdriver to pop clip up just enough to pull out the wiring/clip.
