Default Crossfire Radio...is it a Becket Monza?

I was looking through the Becket web site and found the Monza series radio and it looks exactly the same as the Crossfire's radio. They have several models so I don't know exactly which one it is but they have .pdf files of the radio that are very informative that show the connecttions on the back and lots of other good stuff.

Go to the "Car HiFi" link, then to "Monza", then to "Product Service" for the .pdf files.

Default Becker Monza

Nopne of them. The case is similar, but all of the Monzas are MP3 capable, the xf radio is not. The display is much different also.

Yep, its a Becker but its an OEM unit model # BE6806. I wish it did mp3 and I would keep it in the dash but im going to replace it with a JVC KD-SH9700 (Excellent price at www.rextv.com while they last)

FYI If you are planning on replacing yours also, I did some research and think you will need the following:

Metra 40-VW Antenna adapter

Metra 70-1784 Wiring harness (Or Scosche VW01B)

Anyway, the wires are colored for VW so they probably aren't coded correctly for the Xfire but it can be done by an installer or someone who uses a volt meter well. If anyone has done this let us know any advice on what you have found
