Not this will help in your case but it worked for me in my chrysler cirrus turned out to be a poor/nonfunctioning EGR valve. I have herd of others having this problem on this forum too with the xf. Do a search for EGR valve.

EGR what it is...

EGR valves were introduced by car makers in the early 1970s as an effort to reduce the emissions created by an automobile's engine. Exhaust gas is recirculated into the combustion chambers, lowering the combustion temperature, helping to reduce pollutants. An EGR valve that fails to operate properly can alter the proper fuel and air mixture ratio of an engine causing poor performance*(missing)*. Depending upon the degree of failure, faulty EGR valve symptoms can range from mild to very pronounced.

Read more: What Are the Symptoms of a Bad EGR Valve? eHow.com- What Are the Symptoms of a Bad EGR Valve? | eHow.com

The EGR Valve consists of three major components:
l EGR Valve
l EGR Solenoid
l EGR Tube
The EGR Valve (3) is located at the right rear of the engine and is
attached to the right cylinder head, to the right of the Throttle
Body (4). The EGR Solenoid (2) is attached to the EGR Valve (3)
on the throttle body side of the valve. The EGR Tube (1) connects
the EGR Valve (3) to the rear of the Intake Manifold (5).

crankshaft position sensor maybe? No I don't think it would run period...

bad coil? No it would run like **** all the time if it even ran...

Sounds like it could be the crank position sensor.... given it is doing this when warm. They are about $50 if you install youself. Lots of info on here on symptoms and how to make the fix. Hope it's nothing serious. Good luck.

If NA, make sure the intake elbow at the back of the motor is completely connected. Mine barely came loose causing my car to become powerless, but never threw an engine code. Took me some looking with a flashlight to see the small gap.

Hope this helps.

Whooaaa... If its an Srt6 the egr vavle is prob not the problem. Did you check to see if the intercooler pump was working? Everyone with an srt6 has to replace one eventually. It causers low throttle response and loss of ur supercharger power at increasing temps. I bet this what your problem is, not the egr valve.

The quickest test is to take the car out in the morning and accelerate HARD and see if you have full power...

then get the engine warm/hot and try it again. If you loose power under acceleration when hot... it is likely that the IC pump has failed and not keeping the air cool enough.... the ECU will disengage the SC if the IAT's are too high....

This may not be 100% but it a good indicator...

Do what Mike says but also when you get home, open your door and listen while u turn your car off. If your IC is working, you'll hear the sound of a fan turning off. If you don't hear that sound, then its time to replace the IC

j.....it won't miss like a car running on a few cylinders. If it's the pump they are talking about, it will buck, have power, not have power sort of thing. If it is doing that, there are how-to's and threads on here that talk about it. It is a common problem, and an easy fix, if you are handy. That is why I asked if it were an SRT6...two different cars with different problems....send the egr valve back for a refund...won't work on yours.
