Default stop the damage.

This I can not believe is such a bad design... so I ended up purchasing a rubber pad / feet and used it to protect the armrest lid when you open it fully.. cost of mod.. 20p in UK sterling... $10c I guess...

I hadn't really thought about that. I know that when I do open the lid I wasn't wild about it hitting a hard surface. That's really a great idea. Thanks for sharing it.

Excellent idea. The lid is slightly sprung and you open it and let go and it bangs the back wall. Where did you get the cheap pad from in the UK?

Thanks.

i have a leather cd holder in the pouch and this stops the plastic lid from hitting the back plastic panel.

I still have my original window sticker in that storage baggy, and the top edge of it extends up just enough to read it, and protect the storage bin lid.

I haven't looked into this, but how about some how modifying the hinge so that it doesn't open so far.

What you did is a good idea, but I'm thinking of some hidden way of fixing this problem.
