Hood Latch Release Lever thing broken...
 

Hi guys I hope im posting to the right thread!
Another problem with the car thats like the simplest stupid thing but i biotch..

Well the red plastic latch that attaches to the release cable broke (the little piece of plastic that holds the cable...)

We have been pulling at the darn thing (the cable) from the inside of the car with out any luck on getting the hood open... any ideas on how to get it open? I was almost sure this happened to someone else but I haven't found anything with the same situation... :/ Thanks in advance for all the help! It's really appreciated!
