How do I tell?

I understand that our cars came with one of two alternators...is there any way to tell which you have without taking it off?

Yes, the casing is quite different. I'll see if I can find a photo of each.
OK, I think these are the correct pictures. I saved them from sites for these parts.
I have the Valeo on my SRT and the voltage regulator housing has cooling slots that go from front to back on the top, these can be seen in photo #4 quite clearly.

Thanks for the photos! I take it that the first one is the Bosch unit?

The first two are Bosch, the photos have titles actually.
