Default '04 Crossfire wont crank

Original problem: 04 Crossfire key wouldn't turn in ignition switch.
I'm a locksmith and my customer is a used car dealer
Customer called and stated he's got a new ignition cylinder from the dealer and asks if I could install it.
After checking this forums for removal instructions, I removed the ignition bracket from the car and was able to remove a small cover that revealed a spring and rectangular piece, that once removed allowed the key to turn.
I replaced the ignition cylinder (special order items are not returnable) and replaced the ignition switch (electrical switch on the back side of ignition bracket got damaged upon removal).
Now that the vehicle is back together, the key turns, dash lights illuminate but the motor does not crank.
This vehicle has a manual trans.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Are you pressing down the clutch when you turn the key? It will not turn the engine over if you do not do that.

Yes I am stepping on the clutch. I have also manually depressed the plunger switch with my finger while attempting to start to be sure it wasn't out of alignment.

When you say crank do you mean the engine turns bot does not start or it does not turn? That crank word means different things to different people.

I can only guess that the switch is broken somehow or some wire is connected.

hope you can see this, Hot wire goes thru the switch to the clutch switch to the starter. So you are not hot going thru the switch..
you have to double click on the Jpeg attachment for it to open bigger
