Frustrating stuff. Does sound like the skreem module. With the cps and rcm issues you either have crank and no start, or no crank. Read thru the thread on the skreem thread.

Re: skreem module??? need help

Do I take to dealership and asked for a new skreem and key? Or can I just asked to reprogram the key and see what happens

Re: skreem module??? need help

usually the module itself is the problem. I haven't dealt with this problem to date, so I can only send you to those who have. That thread describes most of what you have to do. Maybe someone who has will chime in....good luck, I know that is frustrating. I hate the day I have to tear into the dash to look for the module.

yes, it is something you can fix yourself. You don't want the boys at the dealership in there...

Re: skreem module??? need help

I can only tell you to read thru the process. I know you can buy new ones, and I know there is some programing of the key. There is a how-to on it somewhere as well. Module is located behind the instrument cluster. I have never been in there for any reason thus far, so I am of no help. I hope I never have to. Some of the "locking" mechanism is in the trunk area. Moisture getting in there has caused problems as well, with locking and unlocking. But, the starting issue is sometimes related to the skreem module. In your case, the skreem seems to be the problem. Like I stated earlier, with the CPS, crank no start, with the CRM, no crank. In your case, cranks a couple of times, then nothing. Unplug the battery, replug, repeats...that is classic skreem symptoms.

Re: skreem module??? need help

just keeping up while I work... punch "skreem" into the search feature above and read thru all those threads is the best bet. I will be outside working for the most part the rest of the day. Getting ready for dreaded winter....and then working on the cars this evening. I will check in later.....

Just a quick check here.. you didn't just replace the fob case with a new one.. right?
