Hey guys, so I have a weird one for you all...


When I drive the crossfire (n/a, not srt6) "spiritedly" I'll get this load beep noise coming from somewhere in the car, usually only once of twice a drive. When It happens I don't see or feel any ill effects, but I usually get off the gas pretty quick out of surprise (its rather loud).


It usually happens if I've downshifted into a corner and kept the RPM's high and gotten back on the gas out of the corner. It usually beeps whenever I have more than ~80% throttle for a few seconds, then it goes away all together.


I've looked and looked, but I don't even seen this mentioned before.


Anyone else have this happen?


I just want to make sure I'm not going to blow up something!

Try unplugging the alarm module just for grins ......

 

Have you ruled out the traction control system? I can get mine to pop off doing that or a similar maneuver. But then my rear tires are almost like racing slicks.


You will see it on the Speedo where it lights up when activated.

 

That module is actually dead... hahaha. My alarm went off the other night and i realized the loudest sound it would make is the slightest chirp

As for the traction control, I've gotten the beep with it on or off and both ways i always check the dash for any kind of warning light and see nothing
