2005 Roadster codes - P2500 & C1142
2 Attachment(s)
The bas/esp light was on so I scanned my car today, 2005 roadster with 49K miles, and found the codes P2500 & C1142. From my research the P2500 is the transmission conductor plate and the C1142 is the ESP lateral acceleration sensor. Can anybody confirm my findings, and has anybody done the conductor plate fix and where is the lateral acceleration sensor? Any help would be appreciated.

I found the lateral sensor behind the shifter. Pretty easy to get at. Found one on ebay for $40. New one is $745 from chrysler. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...686c5e3ef.jpeg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...701916d7b.jpeg |

So was your CEL currently on or you just decided to scan to be curious?

Re: 2005 Roadster codes - P2500 & C1142
I replaced the lateral Speed sensor, ebay purchase $40, and the esp/bas light was still on but my scanner said there were no current or pending codes. So I took it for a drive and after a few minutes at highway speed the light went off and has not been back! Must take some driving for the computer to calibrate the sensor or something.

We get to tackle the plug leaking next weekend. Hopefully TCM isn't too bad to save. I am sure Rudy will let me know.
