Well, the Crank Sensor does it temperature sensitive with age. Well, SOME do. I'd change it. You can buy them locally, most wont work, but you can always waste your time and money and go to Autozone - or you can order the RIGHT part here:
https://www.germanautosupply.com/mer...ensor-238.html

But an engine that won't start hot but will start cold can point to fuel mixture problems. When did you last:
  • Replace the engine air filters (if you have to ask where they are, then they need changing)
  • Clean the MAF (that is, take it off the car and clean it, preferably with actual MAF cleaner)
  • Run some "Seafoam" thru the fuel system
  • If the car is near 100,000 miles, I'd change all 12 plugs and wires, my Graphite started doing ODD stuff around 97,000 or so. Misfires, cranky starting, O2 sensor codes - and yet, just putting in pLugs and wires cleared it ALL up.

When the Fan runs at high speed, it is a sign that the fan module is in EMERGENCY MODE, due to a loss of communication between it and the ECU. Why would the ECU not talk to it? Cause the ECU is not powered up in your car. Why not?

Because the output of the "Engine Control Relay" is not making it to the ECU, this is due to either a bad relay on the RCM or a fractured solder joint on the RCM. And it's almost ALWAYS a fractured solder joint.

Yank the RCM and send it to DJ (see link in Hawkske's post above) or take it to a local cellphone or radio shop (two way radio like what the police and fire carry) and ask them to go over it with a soldering iron. (Most cell phone shops wont' have a soldering iron heavy enough for this repair but you might get lucky - Search "Motorola Kenwood Dealer Service" and you should find something)

Or order an RCM online for around $150 - then get this one fixed later to keep as a spare.

I repair these. $30 gets bad relays (your problem) replaced, bad joints redone AND the Me So Horny mod.
