Opinions on if I need a new Skreem

Wondering if it's likely both my ignition switch assembly and skreem module died at the same time?
Recently my cars ignition switch was stuck and wouldn't turn. So after reading other threads I decided to buy and install a new ignition switch assembly which came with a new key fob. It all went smoothly. Put everything back together and I moved the old key's circuit board into a new case, added new batteries and it would lock and unlock perfectly. The car started and I was able to reverse it into my driveway. But after turning it off it did the usually skreemy thing. It would turn on for 2 seconds the first two times but the third time it wouldn't cranks at all. It now will only crank for 2 seconds if I remove the negative battery terminal. Did I miss something when installing the new ignition or did my ignition switch and skreem module both crap out at the same time? Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks.

Did you move the little chip from the old fob to the new case ?

Yes. And it works as normal.

Is it possible a wire came loose, especially the one to the antenna ring? Also, if you change the key and screem you also need to change ECU to match. SOS Diagnostics repairs the original screems.

I did remove the cluster to see if it had a loose wire but it was all tight. I may go with "Precision ECU" because it sounds like they can stop this from ever happening again. But I will also get a quote from SOS. Thanks.

If the chip works as normal how come the car does not start ?
I think you are missing out some information.

So I feel stupid, I assumed the transponder chip was soldered onto the fob's circuit board but then realized it was wedged in the corner of the old case. Once I moved that over it works now. Thank you all for helping out.

That's the chip I was talking about. Glad you figured it out.

I am glad you didn't throw it away by accident like others have.
