REST Fan won't stop

I have had my 2006 crossfire under cover for nearly a year. Started it yesterday and think I accidently switched on REST button, never used it before. Now fan won't stop. I have tried waiting 30 minutes as mentioned in manual. I have disconnected battery, removed fuse, but as soon as re-connected fan starts. Any ideas on how to reset, or where is the control module, anyone had this issue before? How did you fix it?

Are you sure the button isn't just stuck? Try pushing it back out with an old credit card or something similar. I had that happen once.

Is the light in the lower right hand corner of the button on? In "REST" mode, that light comes on, you can simply press the button to turn it off.

Now, if the light wont' go off, try Ron's suggestion, that is, observe if the button is stuck in the "down" position. If so, try to get it to let go.

If the light is not on, I doubt it's the "REST" function at all. If the "blower motor resistor" fails, one of the failure modes is that the blower will run all the time. This is a very common issue.

The REST module is the climate control module as a whole, there is no separate REST module.

Thanks for the info. Button seems to work fine, so its sounding like its the "resistor", so where is that located ? Really appreciate the assistance.

I can't find the thread where the replacement is explained - you access it from above the passenger's feet.
I'm at work, perhaps someone else will chime in.

I’m sure the thanks are much appreciated as some would not have even responded. But most others would supply the link to the YouTube site so that we all could learn with your help.
