Key remote won't lock doors

Just got my crossfire last night and the remote won't lock the doors. I press on the lock button on the remote and it just flashes the parking lights 3 times and nothing else happens. The panic button also does not work too. Only thing that works is the unlock function. It will only unlock the doors and trunk. Anybody have any solutions for me? Thanks in advance!

is your drivers door open when you try this? IIRC, the doors wont lock if the drivers door is open because there's a possibility that the keys will get locked in. if your door is "closed" when you try to lock it, then you have another problem. hmm...

I just noticed tonight that my panic alarm does nothing...

luckily I was just testing it - I didn't need it...

Yes all doors are closed.

sounds like you have a problem, call the dealer, why mess with it, it is their problem.

Check your fuse #9. I had the same (blinker flashed but doors didn't lock) and it was that fuse.
BTW what's a panic button?

Little red button below the unlock button on the key fob. It should set off the alarm.

I checked every fuse under the hood and all of them are good. There are two relays if you remove the fuse box second cover. One is black and the other one is yellow. The black one clicks when I press the unlock button, but not the yellow one. What's the yellow relay for?

I don't have such panic button. My remote has 2 buttons only - lock and unlock. If the alarm goes on I need to press one the two buttons. Or only the unlock, not sure anymore. But sorry for not testing again ... ;)

@ mini-zoom, what relays do you mean? There is an 2nd fuse box in the engine compartment, next to the battery. It's a relay steering module (or how it's in english). But there are 5 regular fuses (15A) and a large 40A orange fuse for the air pump.
Or underneath the 'main' fuse box there are two relays: the black one is for the keyless remote and the yellow is for the brake lamp.

Again for the fuse #9, if your interior light is on then the fuse is ok. Maybe you try to replace fuse #26 (20A) this one is for the central locking system.

If nothing helps ... well, sorry to say but see a diagnostician to check the circuit.

Yes it is the main fuse box with the hidden 2 relays underneath. I guess it's the yellow relay for the brake lamp then. I'm just going to let the dealer take care of it. I just don't trust the dealer all that much. If I can do it myself it would be better, in this case nope. Thanks!

The yellow must be the brake light.

It's good to go to the dealer and show him that you know how things work in your car. Maybe he things you're a smart a*s, but hey he can't sell/tell you bull$!t, because you are in on the car.

You still have warranty? Shouldn't be a problem. Let the dealer work...

Good luck.
