Clinking sound when turning
Hey all, recently bought my 2008 crossfire, car has been one of my favorites since im about 10 years old. Turned 25 and was able to get a hold of one finally. Im ready to get into this car an fix anything I can that happens to it to make sure that it keeps running like new. With that backstory being said, i have come to hear and feel this clunk any time i turned the wheel either slowly at a stop, and can recreate the sound by putting the wheel in top dead center and quickly turning it slightly in either directions. I read that some owners felt it was the steering damper, so i did some research bought a new one and installed it to no luck, was happy to replace it as they are good for 60,000 miles and mine just got to the big 70,000 and im almost positive it was original. Wondering if anyone has had this problem before i try to bring it somewhere and try to recreate the feeling and sound.
