Default New Sparco Pro 2000 Fia Seats

Call me crazy... I just removed the OEM seats and restraints and replaced them with Sparco Pro/2000 racing seats and Schroth Racing 5 point cam-lock harness'. Purchased from "Werks 2" who specializes in racing mods for the So. Cal Porsche Owners Club. Looks pretty slick. IMO...

How much leg room did you gain by switching to these seats?

How much $ ?

Do you need two seats to comply with the specs & standards for your racing?
Would a lighter weight passenger seat not be more beneficial?

I'm 6'1" and if I had installed them all the way back against the bulkhead, I wouldn't be able to depress the clutch all the way... So there is room to spare if you're taller...

Here's a good place to start with pricing and seats available.

I don't have the passenger seat installed when I race... It actually gets re-installed if I ever have a passenger who wants to ride along when we have testing sessions (passengers permitted with full safety equipment). Or there have been occasions when I'll ask a more experienced racer to help me work-out the correct line through certain turns, then I'll have them ride along...

Did you gain an inch or two in head room, I would imagine the manual seats sit lower in the floor pan?

How's the lumbar support?

I thought about going that too. How heavy were the stock seats vs. new ones?

I gained about 4" of head room because I didn't use the slider bracket that they offer, we fabricated our own permanent bracket since I am the only one who will ever drive the car...

There are three pads that come with the seat and all are attached with velcro... Center lumbar, L/R kidney. Also, the under knee bolster really helps support your legs... I would suggest that you find a local race shop that has floor models that you can sit in before purchasing... Most race shops distribute many different seats and usually have them on the showroom floor to sit in...

Awesome. What kind of damage to the wallet could I expect for seats like yours?

$450 - $800 for a nice usable street seat. trust me you don't want a racing seat in your daily driver! it sucks.
