Need help please roadster won't start
I have a 2006 roadster. I tried soldering RCM, it would try to start, then nothing. Changed out my crankshaft position, my camshaft position sensor and nothing. Ordered a new relay control module, installed it, again tried to start it, would turn over but didn't start, then nothing, won't even turn over. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help that you can give. Everybody take care.

Re: Need help please roadster won't start
If you disconnect the negative battery for a few munutes and then hook it back up, does it try to start a few times and then nothing? If so, it is probably your screem module. Josh Chase at the Mercedes Swap Shop can repair it.

Re: Need help please roadster won't start
Thank you soo much. I am going to try the battery in the morning, a bit toasty this afternoon, and then most likely set up something with the Mercedes Swap Shop. I was a bit lost on what to do so I really thank you for reaching out to me. Best to you and your family.

:) When you changed the sensors, did you use Bosch sensors? This car doesn't work well (sometimes not at all) with generic non-Bosch sensors. :) . |
Re: Need help please roadster won't start
Yes I certainly did make sure to get Bosch products. I was smart enough to see what was said within this forum. I have gone on to looking into the skreem module, again thanks to this forum. Being new to this forum I have to say that this group of people are a rare group nowadays, very kind, very helpful and when I read threads and posts it makes me proud to be a Crossfire owner and part of a great group of people. So thanks for your input, greatly appreciated.
Take care, Al |

Re: Need help please roadster won't start
Thanks soo much! I will definitely look into sending the RCM in just to see if it works. That would be great if it works I want to drive my car. Greatly appreciate your input.
Happy 4th to ya! Al |
Re: Need help please roadster won't start
My 2007 Crossfire won’t start. Battery is fully charged. Nothing happens when the key is turned, no sound, no dash lights. Mechanic determined the ignition module needs to be replaced. It is VIN specific part, and key needs to be programmed to connect to new module by Authorized repair shop. Chrysler shop has had the car for 2 months. They removed the part and found the Chrysler part number. Ordered the part… But its a Mercedes’ part not a Chrysler part. In collaboration with Mercedes repair shop the corresponding Mercedes part number was determined. However the VIN number is a Chrysler number so the part cannot be ordered either by Chrysler nor by Mercedes!!! I cannot take it anywhere else to be repaired …
This situation is beyond my comprehension. Can anyone help? |
Re: Need help please roadster won't start
find a vin for a 2002 slk 32 but your/their repair may not fix the car,,,, if the car in back together as when u took it in before u spend everything in calf try to replace the rcm mercedes K40 then drive it home,, just in case this does not work replace the crank and cam sensors , this is a common failure hope it solver your problem. as it has on about 400 roadsters
oh read above. |
