Rear Quarter Panel Removal
Anyone know how to remove it? In the tech manual it shows how to remove the front fender but nothing about the quarter panel removal.
Driver side of my baby got some good rub and a couple dents while in a parking lot, no sign of who did it, and I would rather avoid the high costs of using my insurance to fix, if I can replace/fix the fender and quarter panel on my own.
Going tonight to have a place quote repairing it... worst case is I buy a new bare fender and quarter panel, get them painted and install them myself. Fender costs $240ish from Chrysler dealer, $180 some online store, Quarter panel is $420ish from dealer and $280 from online store. Dunno how much painting would cost, but that won't matter if I can't figure out how to remove the quarter panel. Fender looks easy enough, but quarter seems to have all connection points hidden.
And if anyone in the Wisconsin area has a dealer/shop contacts that can help me get parts/paint/repair it would be greatly appreciated.
I won't even drive it now, because I don't like it being seen damaged.

Go to the Karmann site and look for the Chrysler Crossfire, open it and Look for Foto33_Chrysler_Crossfire. It will show the car on the line, unpainted. The rear quarter is welded and runs right up into the roof. This does not appear to be a DIY project unless you are into sheet metal working and welding. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the help guys. Went and got a repair quote last night and he informed me about the welding... so far its looking like around $1,800 in damage... gotta get a few other quotes... figure if I can get it for around $1,500 or less its worth avoiding insurance.
