Need help on the best way to fix a back window that fell out on chrysler 2005 crossfire so many adhesive to use wanted to get it right the first time. Thanks

 

Get a new top from BAS, fix your old one when it's off and you can work with it easy, keep it as a spare.
my 2 cents.

 

3M Window Weld is the preferred adhesive along with the 3M primer for same . . . I really don't know of anyone that has enjoyed long term success with trying to re-attach the rear window. Your car is 18 years old . . . as ala-xfire suggested . . . it's time to get a new top!

 

THANKS FOR THE HELP I WILL TRY THE 3M. THE CAR HAS BEEN GARAGE MOST OF IT LIFE WITH ONLY 50 THOUSAND MILES BESIDE THE WINDOW FALLING DOWN THE TOP LOOK TO BE IN GREAT CONDITION SO I WANTED TO TRY TO PUT BACK IN. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

 

New group buy for the BAS top has been started - 400 English pounds sterling, about $525 - a real bargain.
I do not know if that includes shipping, but you do get a color choice and a lifetime warranty on the rear window bond.

 

Were do I need to go to get info & shipping for this top?

 

Have same identical car with same problem did you complete your repair and were satisfied with it?

thanks for the help. i used the 3m window bond for the top and i would say this is the best to use. the only problem is getting the window align up perfect i got it close. i released the top to get the pressure off and put blankets under the glass to hold it up. what work the best was putting duct tape on the window to the top to hold it in place. after 5 days i removed the tape and glass looks to be holding in place. not sure how long it will hold but looks and holding great right now. thanks

No. But at 2019 that car is at least 14 years old. A convertible top 14 years old may look good but it IS OLD.

The 2006's spent a lot of time stored in the Hot South Carolina sun. I don't think it helped.

I did the repair. Mine had a separation by force about 7 inches long. Did the repair with 3M and I found it to be OK. Then, in storage for another year, the window fell completely out of my 2006. New top this spring for sure.

The old one looks fine so I will follow 180's advice. Fix it and store for later. Thieves ruin tops all the time.
