You know, the funny thing is, I haven't gotten a speeding ticket since I got my FOP plates.... LOL 10 over is typically overlooked in my state. Nearly always if they see you are giving money to support the local police and feed the state boys for free(I was a restaurant manager for 12 years)....LOL I am sure I will get a ticket eventually, but it won't be for locally for 10 over.

That tells me 3 things about you Deb. Let me know if I'm wrong or right. 1) You are not exactly shy or easilly intimidated. 2) You have a great sense of humor. 3) If the cops in your area are anything like my friends and you got off, you are probably a descent looking gal too! LOL Thanks for the story. I think we have all had a similar experience at some point.

Like others, I keep the all weather Conti's at 35/35. Car dynamics are acceptable at all driving conditions I use. Wear so far has been good, too.

If I chip another tooth or hit my head again, I'll be going back to 35 myself. LOL

Yer a girl that's why you only got a warning!

I play with my tire pressure and finally get the dang light to go out only to have it come on again after I drive a little krazy.

Nooooo I'm really shy!!!! LOL NOT.. and Yeah I do have a tiny sense of humor, now as far as looks go that would be a negative.

I ran my SRT only this morning at 145mph. If you run these tires at that pressure at that speed for any length of time they get REALLY HOT. I run my tires depending on conditions from 34.5 -36.lbs pressure.
Sorry but your info is... Wrong.
But I have to say the 80%-85% and the Sub set ZxY minus W times this and that sounded good.
I can't run Z's on mine because I have run at 174mph and plan on 190mph this season...
Mike
Run flats who's got them as standard?
Some of these statements are the opposite to what is normally recommended. What pressures are you going to use at 190mph?
I think a lot of this is hot air no matter what the pressure. Your so called CAI will not help you in any way, but it will give you all the hot air you need.

Oh my... Just remember the FORD/FIRESTONE fiasco a couple decades ago. Ford contracted Firestone to design/build a tire for their explorer. Firestone did and supplied Ford the tires. Ford and Firestone used to be corporate friends/bedmates, until ford got complaints about their top heavy explorer and decided to implement a reduction in tire pressures to lower the CG of that explorer (supposidly to reduce rollover potential). The rest is history with Firestone eventually winning on appeal and recovering all lost revenue (but never recovering their reputaton 100%). That was quite a fight that Ford lost, eventually. Shame they didn't 'step-up-to-the-plate' from the beginning, the Ford/Firestone relationship was many decades old until Ford tried to avoid blame on that rollover issue.

Bottom line I am trying to say, doorjamb is a good start, but the daily application/conditions must be evaluated in each use. Mine are at 35F/36R (I mostly ride spirited up to 80, rarely higher). Very interesting reading, this post is!
